Every project runs through a strict path: Draft → Confirmed → In Progress → Completed (plus the Cancelled variant). Transitions are validated: you cannot flip to "In Progress" without completing the send-session. Billing itself lives in ark.plan and its status (pending / issued / paid) flows back onto the project. The history records who triggered each transition, and when.

Each project carries rentable line items (equipment) and consumable line items (cables, gaffer, batteries) separately — what comes back vs what doesn't. Qty, unit price, per-line discount, VAT, totals computed server-side. Direct links to item records, read-only during sessions.
REF · PROJECTS SEND/RETURN SESSIONS
Session mode optimized for both send and return: tablet/phone, rapid-fire scanning of every project item, visual cross-check against the expected list, alerts on missing or wrong-condition items. Condition photos mandatory on return — time-stamped and signed.

Month / week / day view with drag-and-drop. When an item is booked on two overlapping projects, an orange alert fires — you see the conflict before the customer. Filters by category, location, customer keep the calendar usable at 200 projects / month.
