The scanner decodes QR (ISO/IEC 18004), barcode (EAN-8/13, UPC-A/E, Code 39/128, ITF) and NFC without you flipping modes — the camera spots the format and ark.stock opens the right record. Useful when your stock mixes supplier labels (EAN) and internal QR labels.

Once an item is recognised, the four main actions appear as big touch buttons: Loan (opens the borrower flow), Return (from an active loan), Transfer (location change), Edit (record read/write). Zero return to the main nav — the on-site team stays in the scanner view.
